The Executive Council wishes to thank all members who sacrifice their valuable time to be present and make up the quorum for the AGM on 28th July 2010. The event is probably the last one to be held annually as we now have members’ mandate to do it biennially. Preparatory works is now underway to register appropriate amendment to the MESA Rule changes to be in line with members’ approval given via the recent Secret Ballot. Proposed new changes to the MESA Rule would include the formation of a MESA Welfare Fund in conjunction with Ketua Pengarah Jabatan Hal Ehwal Kesatuan Sekerja (JHEKS) consent to our past request for an increase of RM5 to our monthly subscription which our members had approved in an earlier Secret Ballot in 2008. Incidentally, in the last AGM, we had tabled for RM2 from the increased subscriptions to be deposited into a MESA Welfare Fund (under development currently) for disbursement towards members’ welfare. Although the much awaited consent of the Ketua Pengarah JHEKS would authorize us to impose the increased from 6th July 2010 onward, the Council has agreed to defer its implementation beginning with the end-August payroll. Your monthly subscription would then be adjusted to RM15 per month.
We would also like to take this opportunity to list the following as your elected members of the MESA Executive Council 2010-2012. They are at your service.

MESA 30th AGM: Election of Officer |

For this year's MESA 30th AGM, there will be an election of officer. At the close of the nomination,we received seven nomination for the five position in the Executive Council Member.
* No nomination from the other Executive Council position (President, Vice President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, and Assistant Treasurer) except from the incumbents.
The election shall be conducted by secret ballot in accordance with Rule 25 of the Union.
ELECTION UPDATE: Result will be out Wed, 28Jul10, at the end of MESA 30th AGM.
